Physical assessment

The initial physical assessment stage identifies what the changes are and where the challenges lie for a person following their brain injury, stroke or diagnosis of their neurological condition. This can include looking at areas such as personal care, the domestic activities of daily living, using public transport, as well as work and leisure activities.

Cognitive assessment

Problems relating to memory, attention, problem-solving and planning can have just as big an impact as physical issues. We use standardised assessments and observation of thinking skills, and then use these to set goals and make specific plans to improve how people cope with everyday life.
