The role of neuro occupational therapy in brain injury: how our associates help
The role of neuro occupational therapy experts in brain injury rehabilitation is an important one. As LSOT’s business and geographic coverage has grown, we have developed a team of associate OTs who specialise in neurological occupational therapy.
This team helps manage all our neuro occupational therapy programmes. It also ensures we have the capacity in-house to treat other areas of the recovery process, for example upper limb splinting.
The focus is on quality not quantity. Our independent neuro occupational therapists are highly-skilled with over 10 years’ experience in various disciplines.
Laura oversees the role of the occupational therapist in all brain injury programmes. This ensures LSOT’s treatment is effective and coordinated with other neurology professionals who may be involved in a case.
It also means Laura can act as a consultant should complex issues arise. Furthermore, this approach provides continuity of care for patients during periods of staff absence.
